Anne has conducted many diverse workshops from writing songs with young people in a Zambian school to running MA performance workshops at Middlesex University. Inside Out Matt’s Gallery, London, January 2008 In 2008, Anne ran workshops at Matt’s Gallery for a local girls’ club to investigate the rhythms and processes of the body. Working with a variety of medical equipment and supported by medical students from King’s College and University College London, Anne presented amazing facts about the body such as that the average human contains enough carbon to make 900 pencils and enough phosphorous to make 2,200 match heads. This let loose and detonated the creative process and the participants produced spontaneous drawings reflecting an excitement about who and what we are and our relationship with the universe; the physical giving an insight into the metaphysical. |
